On Tuesday night, the Red Cross, United Nations, and Syrian Red Crescent entered the Al-Houla Plains in northern Homs to provide humanitarian relief to the beleaguered civilians still living inside this war-torn area.
According to a source in Damascus, the humanitarian relief convoy has delivered aid to this besieged area for the first time in nearly 9 months.
Previously, these convoys were unable to enter the Al-Houla Plains due to the ongoing battle between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and rebel forces; however, the recent ceasefire agreement has changed the situation.
