BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:50 P.M.) – The Turkish military has sent a large convoy of soldiers and armored vehicles into Syria via the Nusaybin Silk Road, Nusaybinden.com reported on Monday.

According to the Nusaybinden report, the Turkish military convoy made their way from Turkey’s Cizre District of Sirnak to the Afrin Canton in Aleppo, as their forces prepare to attack this Kurdish enclave in northwestern Syria.

While the military convoy was passing through the Nusaybin-Silk road, the military forces took extensive security measures, while the long-range ball battalions in the convoy cautioned.

The Turkish military has repeatedly attacked the Afrin Canton in the recent days, often targeting the defenses of the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) in northwest Aleppo.
