BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:20 P.M.) – The Turkish-backed rebels have sent another massive convoy to the city of Manbij amid a similar military build-up by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies.

A large number of fighters from the Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) were seen traveling to the northern outskirts of Manbij, while carrying flags representing the opposition and Turkey.

It is not clear why the rebel forces are building up their troops north of Manbij as the Syrian Arab Army has already mobilize and deployed a large number of troops to this front front.

According to a military source in Aleppo city, one theory for the rebel build-up is due to the fact that the Russian military was unable to convince their Turkish counterparts that Manbij was under the authority of the Syrian government.

The source said that the Turkish military believes the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) still control Manbij, despite their agreement with the Syrian Arab Army.

The FSA were losers always and have been surviving like a Dog being offered a dry bone by Turki. The Syrians have rejected FSA and FSA even lost against Daesh. One really wonders why FSA doesn’t realize that Sultan & Turks are throwing them against SAA.

They don’t care. They see an opportunity to steal oil profits, loot infrastructure, rape women, and kick out civilians and occupy their homes. This is a criminal lot, parasitic opportunitists.

How convenient for Sultan Erdogan that Turks don’t believe Manbij is under control of Syrian Arab Army and is, therefore sending a convoy of Syrian “Rebel” Forces plus Turkish Army to Manbij to ensure that #YPG no longer controls the City. Turks are intent on taking Manbij and holding the City together with its surrounding Territory so that the Turkish Border moves South and encroaches on Syrian Sovereignty. And as with Manbij, so too with many more Cities and Villages along a line drawn & running Eastwards from Idlib through Manbij all the way to Border with Iraq. These are… Read more »
