BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:10 A.M.) – The Houthis (var. Ansarallah) launched a ballistic missile towards a Saudi airport near the Yemeni border last night.

According to the official media wing of the Houthis, their rocket battalion fired a ballistic missile at the Abha Regional Airport in southern Saudi Arabia.

The Houthis claimed their missile struck the Abha Airport; however, this has not been corroborated by the Saudi Ministry of Defense.

The move comes after Saudi Arabia’s air defense forces intercepted two drones launched by insurgents from the Ansar Allah movement, the Houthis, on its military air base on the Saudi southern border, a spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition said Wednesday.

Saudi Arabia Repels 2 Drones Launched By Houthi Rebels at Military Air Base in South
“Saudi air defense forces have repelled the attack and intercepted two drones launched in the direction of Khamis Mushait by Houthi rebels,” Turki Al-Maliki told Saudi SPA news outlet.

More embarrassment for the Saudis who can’t even win against a starving opponent with almost no conventional arms. Yet, the Saudis have a seemingly infinite budget and a vast arsenal of weapons. This goes to show that their heart isn’t in this fight. They think they can buy their way to victory. They will learn their lesson. Or will they?…

Having ballistic+cruise+anti-ship+ATGM missiles+armed drones with efficient guiding systems is actually not really “almost having no conventional arms”. This is being well equipped for modern warfare. Shooting it onto the terminal of a CIVILIAN international airport is a WAR-CRIME if you’re a regular military. If you aren’t, this bears a name : TERRORISM… And I have ZERO affection for the Bani-Saud, they’re serious a$$holes, but the Houthis ain’t better, they are the Iranian puppets who started this war… Saudi mil-budget is similar to medium powers like Russia or France. +++ “This goes to show that their heart isn’t in this fight.”… Read more »

Boy aren’t you just busy. Look at you; a natural propaganda machine. Abbas doesn’t speak for all of us and when you hear him talk it’s like hearing the ding of a cash register. He gets bribed to support Saudi for election funding. He’s on his way out. And your defense of MBS who is every bit a monster as a dictator can possibly be is reprehensible. I live in Kuwait and Saudi is right next door. Women are not driving there at all in spite of the new law. The police still enforce the ban. AND they made it… Read more »

+++ “Boy aren’t you just busy.” >>> VERY! +++ “Look at you; a natural propaganda machine.” >>> It’s more counter-propaganda considering the place has a pretty clear partisan editorial line 😉 +++ “Abbas doesn’t speak for all of us and when you hear him talk it’s like hearing the ding of a cash register.” >>> Oh, his wealth is only $1.5B… The 3 heads of the Hamas snake are even richer (Haniyeh : $3.6B, Abu-Zarmouk : $2.6B, Mashal : $2.5B). For $500M, you get a freaking great desalination plant, and for about the same price, a freaking solar power plant… Read more »

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas: “We demand everyone condemn the targeting of Abha Airport.”
>>> Wow! Abu Mazen criticises terrorism now?
Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Djibouti, Yemen, Kuwait, USA, Lebanon, Bahrain, EU, Pakistan (hard to believe!) all condemned the terrorist attack on Abha Airport too…
IRGC is accused of having supplied the missile.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Quite frankly it is hard to feel pity for the Saudis (or should I say their Columbian & Sudanese mercenaries?) as they have zero humanity!

That said, I think it will get worse for the Yemenis before it gets better, as the USA is itching for a war. However, once that war with Iran starts the Iranians can open the floodgates & unleash its best weapons upon Saudi Barbaria, and finally provide all the supplies the Houthis need.

“The Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia, through its media, claimed full responsibility for this terrorist act using a cruise missile –as they claim- which constitutes a clear recognition and full responsibility for the targeting of civilians and civilian places that are subject to special protection under international humanitarian law, this may amount to a war crime,” – Saudi-led coalition spokesman, Col. Turki al-Malki, said in an official statement. => Actually it’s not “may amount to a war crime”. This IS a war-crime… And moreover, KSA can use it as a casus belli on Iran. With the gear they have, they can… Read more »

You actually think Saudi Arabia can “demolish” Iran. Wow… well there goes what’s left of your credibility (if there was any).

Yes they can. They just don’t know it.
The best thing would be the two regimes annihilating each other.

The gloomy thing being the populations would take hits…
I prefer the idea of smth like having a regime change in Iran with e.g. a Pahlavi + Restart + the equivalent of Kurdish PYD/PUK team.
For KSA, well, maybe should WE (not the Anglos) colonise and make it a true blue Dar al-Kuffar…

It may take 1 or 2 centuries before wiping out 1,400 years of insanity, but it might be feasible… And the Domino Theory may work…

Are you crazy? The Shah was a zionist puppet. I don’t support Iran’s ideology despite their pov on foreign policy but replacing it with the Shah’s joke of a son does NOTHING to benefit the people of Iran. Let the people decide, NOT Washington. Btw MEK doesn’t represent the people either
