BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 P.M.) – The Houthi forces issued a powerful response to the recent advances by the UAE-backed troops in western Yemen on Wednesday.
Led by their rocket battalion, the Houthi forces claimed they fired a ballistic missile towards the areas that were recently captured by the UAE-backed troops near the Hodeideh Governorate.
According to the official media wing of the Houthi forces, their ballistic missile struck its intended target, causing several casualties in the process.
This missile strike by the Houthi forces comes just hours after the UAE-backed Southern Resistance Army and Yemeni Republican Guard captured the strategic Tuhaytah area near the Hodeideh provincial border.
The Houthi forces and UAE-backed troops were involved in a fierce battle for the Tuhaytah area for nearly five days until the latter finally took control of it this morning.
