BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:10 P.M.) – At least four members of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham were killed along the Idlib Highway, today, pro-opposition activists reported via social media.

According to the reports, the four Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham fighters were traveling down the Ma’arat Masreen-Idlib Highway this afternoon, when a group of unknown assailants began opening fire on their vehicle.

All four HTS militants were killed during the attack, including a jihadist field commander that was sitting in the backseat of the vehicle.

Prior to this ambush, HTS uncovered an Islamic State (ISIS) sleeper cell inside of Idlib city; this group was reportedly responsible for several attacks against the rebel forces.
