BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:10 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) killed one of the highest ranking jihadist commanders in southern Idlib, today, after capturing several areas near the Abu Dhuhour Military Airport.

According to pro-opposition activists, the former commander of Jund Al-Aqsa and new leader of Jund Al-Malahem, Qassorah Malahem, was killed in the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.

Malahem was one of the highest ranking commanders of Al-Qaeda that led the Idlib offensive in 2015.

As a result of his death, the jihadist rebels have now lost two high ranking commanders in the last 24 hours in the Idlib Governorate.
