BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:15 A.M.) – Another high ranking jihadist commander was assassinated by unknown assailants in the Aleppo Governorate of northern Syria this month.
A high ranking commander from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham was assassinated in rural Aleppo on Wednesday, the jihadist group’s media wing reported.
Abu Ahmad Sharoukh was reportedly assassinated on Wednesday, when a group of unknown assailants opened fire on his vehicle in the Al-Muhandiseen area of west Aleppo.
The jihadist commander was known for preparing and planning car bombings against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the Aleppo Governorate.
Sharoukh was said to have carried out at least 20 car bombings against the Syrian Arab Army in Aleppo before his assassination this week.
