BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:00 P.M.) – One of the highest ranking commanders of the so-called “Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham” (ISIS) in the Al-Raqqa Governorate was reportedly killed by a U.S. airstrike near the Tabaqa Dam.
Abu Jandal Al-Kuwaiti was reportedly killed by a U.S. Coalition airstrike while participating in the defense of the Tabaqa Dam from the Kurdish-led “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF).
Not much is known about Abu Jandal Al-Kuwaiti, other than the major role he played i the recruitment of prospective terrorists and his close relationship with the Islamic State leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.
The Pentagon confirmed the death of Abu Jandal Al-Kuwaiti during a press briefing on Thursday morning.
