According to a report from Syrian government officials, two high ranking emirs from the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) were allegedly killed by the Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF) in the provincial capital of the Al-Raqqa Governorate on Saturday.

The two ISIS emirs were identified by the Syrian government as ‘Ali Moussa Al-Shawakh and “Abu Farah”.

‘Ali Moussa Al-Shawakh is considered one of the top ISIS emirs in the provincial capital, while Abu Farah is in charge of local checkpoints.

There is no way for Al-Masdar News to verify this news because of the lack of media correspondence in the Al-Raqqa Governorate.

ISIS’ social media activists have not reported the death of these two emirs; however, it is not uncommon for the reports to be delayed.
