BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:30 P.M.) – A high ranking commander of Jund Al-Aqsa (Al-Qaeda affiliate) was reportedly killed on Thursday, when a roadside bomb destroyed the vehicle he was traveling around the Idlib Governorate with.
According to Jund Al-Aqsa’s official media wing, their commander, Abu Nabil, was killed by a roadside bomb that was likely planted to assassinate him and his companions in the Idlib Governorate.
Abu Nabil was considered a high ranking member of Jund Al-Aqsa and one of their most important explosives specialist.
The death of Abu Nabil comes just days after a group of Faylaq Al-Sham militants were also targeted in an ambush by an unknown group in the Idlib Goverenorate.
