BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:00 P.M.) – A number of firefights have been reported across Yemen, today, after both pro and anti-government forces traded offensives in several provinces.

Al-Bayda Governorate:

The Houthi forces launched a new offensive in the Al-Bayda Governorate that targeted the Saudi Coalition troops in the Al-Qabitah District. The Houthi forces reportedly captured several points inside the district after a fierce battle this afternoon.

The Houthi forces claimed they killed and wounded scores of Saudi-backed fighters during an attack at the Qaniyah front.

Hodeidah Governorate:

For the third-day in a row, the Yemeni Republican Guard and Southern Resistance Army, backed by the Saudi Coalition, have attempted to advance against the Houthi forces inside the Kilo 16 area. While no advances have been reported, both sides claim that the other has suffered heavy casualties.

In eastern Hodeidah, the Houthi forces have once again tried to retake several areas inside the Hays District; they were ultimately repelled after a short battle.

Saudi Coalition jets launched at least a half dozen airstrikes over the provincial capital of Hodeidah; these strikes targeted several sites near the strategic port.

Al-Jawf Governorate:

Several Saudi-backed fighters were killed by a Houthi ambush in the Al-Jawf region on Thursday. According to a report, the Saudi-backed fighters were killed when the Houthi forces detonated several roadside bombs.

Saudi Coalition forces launched a new offensive in the Ham District of Al-Jawf. The Saudi Coalition reportedly captured new areas after a fierce battle with the Houthi forces.

Jizan Province (Saudi Arabia):

The Saudi Coalition continued their offensive in the Al-Qais Mountains, today, after a rather unsuccessful push on Wednesday. According to preliminary reports, the Saudi Coalition was able to retake several points near the Al-Qais Mountains, while also killing and wounding several Houthi fighters.

Sa’ada Governorate:

At least three Saudi airstrikes targeted the Houthi positions in the Safrah area, the Saba News Agency of Yemen reported.

Sana’a Governorate:

The Houthi forces launched a new offensive inside the Nihm District of the Sana’a Governorate this morning. According to a report from the official media wing of the Houthi forces, their troops stormed the defenses of the Hadi loyalists in the Qatb region. No gains have been reported.
