Throngs of civilians took to the streets in Gaza to celebrate Hamas’ declaration of victory against Israel. Hamas was able to broker a deal with Israel to allow Palestinians to fish up to six nautical miles off the Gazan shore, while also allowing for aid to enter Gaza.
This agreement was brokered by Egypt and requires the Palestinians and Israelis to adhere to an open-ended ceasefire.
The seven week long conflict resulted in 2,200 causalities and the displacement of thousands of civilians inside of Gaza.
