Sickening photos were leaked showing a group of Syria’s ‘rebel fighters’ barbarically torturing civilians in the southern province of Daraa.
Militants from the FSA-affiliated Shabab al-Sunnah Brigade (Sunni Youth Brigade) in Bosra town have been labeled the culprits of this heinous act, according to local activists.
The group’s notorious leader, Ahmed al-Awdeh (photo below) has been accused of kidnapping, blackmailing and stealing artifacts.
A five-second long video has also been released by a pro-rebel activist displaying a group of apparently rebel fighters whipping a semi-naked young man who was hung by his legs to a metal post.
The reasons behind the savage incidents remain unclear. However, local activists drew a thin line with a failed attempt by some of the militants to topple their leader nearly two weeks ago, where those – aided by some civilians from Bosra town – managed to temporarily take over the Brigade HQ.
