BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:55 A.M.) – A German rapper turned Islamic State militant has been visually confirmed by the terrorist group as having been killed. The jihadist fighter was – as stated in preliminary reports – killed by US-backed forces in eastern Syria.
German ISIS militant Denis Cuspert (also known as ‘Abu Talha al-Almani’ or, from his days as a professional rapper, ‘Deso Dogg’) has been killed in battle by Syrian Coalition-led forces.
Media linked to ISIS also confirmed earlier reports as to the location of Cuspert’s death – this being at the town of Gharanij (also called Khara’ij) in the east Syrian province of Deir Ezzor as a result of heavy clashes with pro-Coalition fighters.
At the present time, the battle between ISIS and US-backed forces in which Cuspert was killed is in fact still ongoing with control Gharanij between the warring factions currently split at about 50/50. The town has witnessed heavy clashes for weeks now, having already changed hands about four times.
