Workers belonging to the Railway and Transport Union (EVG) went on strike in Nuremberg on Monday morning, causing major delays to train services in the city amid a nationwide action by rail workers.
Wearing yellow vests and carrying banners, strikers descended on Nuremberg’s central station as part of a protest held during the strike.
The freeze on long-distance and regional trains left commuting passengers stranded on platforms while they waited for services to resume.
The strike lasted from five until nine in the morning.
