BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:05 P.M.) – German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated, today, that his nation will not join U.S. President Donald Trump’s coalition to bomb Syria.

Merkel began her address by stating the “whole spectrum of measures must be considered on Syria,” adding that German forces will not be taking part in the U.S.’ attack.

“It is important to show unity on Syria,” Merkel continued, adding that she believed it was ‘obvious’ the Syrian government had not destroyed its chemical weapons.

Merkel’s statement was released shortly before French President Emmanuel Macron stated that his nation had proof Assad was behind the chemical weapons attack on Douma.

Macron has as much proof as Trump = None. Merkel is a scientist by trade. No wonder she is more sceptical.

Actually, she does subscribe the lie as much as all the others do.
She’s just not participating militarily, along with Cyprus and Italy (they’ll let use bases on their territory as launchpads, though).
Macron has evidences, same as USA: White Helmets.

The German constitution only allows military defence (in the NATO or EU framework) or UN peace keeping missions.

The US and others wanted it that way after WW II.
And the Germans want it that way now. LOL.

91% of Germans do not consider Russia a threat.

Well then. That settles it. The US military needs to bring it’s MASSIVE, Army and Air force home from Germany. NOW! ALL of our divisions and squadronswe have OVER 50 THOUSAND US troops and multiple tank divisions there. There is NO doubt, that our brave men and women would rather defend OUR borders at home. This way they could be home on weekends or have family come and visit. ANYTIME. The cost to keep our forces in Germany is STAGGERING! TIME TO GET OUR FORCES OUT OF THAT UNGRATEFUL COUNTRY!!!

If Merkel makes too much noise Russia can withdraw recognition of German reunification. In fact if any eastern European countries participate in attacks on Russians in Syria, then Russia will be justified in bombing their military facilities.

Russia cannot withdraw from the 2 & 4 treaty. It was signed in Moscow in 12. September 1990 and is valid since 15.03.1991. It is a status treaty which even affects other nations. It is binding to all.

Russia is not the US that do as they please and pretend that they have the right.

Russia is not threatening any country of the EU in Eastern Europe with attacks or sanctions.

My attempt to read the article was frustrated by an ad with no visible delete icon until I reduced the page to 67%. After deletion the empty box remained, obscuring much of the article. I know the ad was important since so many of us are looking for a log-splitter. Fearful of possible results of the on-the-ground investigation, these three leaders, all up to their necks with domestic problems, sought to scuttle that investigation with their hasty hit-and-run attack. Kudos to Merkel for not jumping on the hysteria bandwagon before the evidence, whatever it said, was in.
