BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 A.M.) – A Free Syrian Army (FSA) sleeper cell recently carried out the assassination of a Syrian military commander in the eastern countryside of the Daraa Governorate.
According to a military communique from the Daraa Governorate, the commander of the military security office of Maliha Al-Sharqiyah, Nasser Hussein Al-Amari, was killed last night when the FSA fighters opened fire on his vehicle.
Al-Amari and three of his bodyguards were killed in the attack; his daughter was badly wounded as well.
A Free Syrian Army sleeper cell calling themselves the “Public Resistance” claimed responsibility for the attack.
