BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:45 P.M.) – The Free Syrian Army (FSA) released footage on Monday of their troops firing an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) towards a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) tank in the northern countryside of the Latakia Governorate.

According to pro-opposition activists, the attack was carried out near the Taoumeh front, which is where the Syrian Arab Army has been active for quite some time.

As shown in the video above, the Free Syrian Army managed to hit the Syrian Army tank with its anti-tank missile, but it was unable to destroy the armored vehicle.

While Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham has a larger presence in rural Latakia, the Free Syrian Army’s coastal division is still active in several parts of the governorate, especially in the Turkmen Mountains.

The tank was still able to move its turret, so that is good news.

The SAA has upgraded its armor with ERA plates and Shtora anti-missile systems that defeat all US supplied ATGM.

FSA terrorists are a bunch of idiots who could not use the US supplied TOW properly as SAA tanks now have Iranian and Russian ERA plates and the more modernized T-72M and T-90 have the Shtora (Hunter) anti-missile systems. As expected all the SAA crew and tank survived.
