BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:43 A.M.) – French presidential candidate and leader of the National Front (FN) Marine Le Pen arrived at the Russian State Duma in Moscow on Friday.
The purpose of the visit was for a series of talks with senior Russian politicians.
Le Pen was joined by Ludovic de Danne, general secretary of the European Parliament (EP) political group Europe of Nations and Freedom.
Leonid Slutski, head of the State Duma Committee for International Affairs, who was responsible for inviting Le Pen, greeted both politicians in the building.
During the day, Le Pen will meet with several Duma deputies and is expected to discuss the development of Russian-French relations.
She is also scheduled to hold talks with State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and participate in a meeting of the Duma’s International Affairs Committee.
