The French Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that four of their Mirage 2000 fighter jets carried out airstrikes over the Islamic State stronghold of Al-Raqqa, destroying a weapons hub belonging to the terrorist group.
These French airstrikes were reportedly carried out last week and they were not limited to the Al-Raqqa Governorate of Syria.
In addition to attacking Raqqa City, the French Air Force also targeted the Islamic State’s capital city in Iraq: Mosul.
The airstrikes over Mosul were conducted in conjunction with the Iraqi Army’s new offensive to liberate this provincial capital in the Nineveh Governorate.
