With Turkish air and artillery strikes killing 20 civilians in Jeb el-Kussa, just 14km south of Jarabulus in northern Aleppo province, a host of villages have been captured by the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Turkey-backed Islamist proxies from the Kurdish YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
After two days of clashing in Amarnah, the FSA have captured the village from SDF. Along with this, the FSA captured Ain al-Bayda that lays just 10km south of Jarabulus.
The FSA have claimed it also has control of Qusa and Balaban villages laying 14.5km south of Jarabulus. If this claim proves correct, it would mean that the Free Syrian Army and the Islamist proxies control 1/3rd of territory north of Sajur River.
