Representatives of Hezbollah and Future movement agreed on Monday night to back the Lebanese army and security forces in their battle against terrorism.

In the fourth round of dialogue session hosted by Speaker Nabih Berri at his Ain al-Tineh residence, the two parties “appraised the positive development of dialogue and its impact on the public opinion,” said a statement released after the session ended.

The attendees “agreed on some practical steps which preserve stability.”

They “stressed the importance of a firm stance to back the army and security forces in all means to counter terrorism and save Lebanon,” the statement added.

The meeting was attended by Hussein Khalil – the adviser of Hezbollah Secretary General, Minister Hussein Hajj Hasan and MP Hasan Fadlallah. The three were representing Hezbollah.

Nouhad Machnouk – the interior minister, Nader Hariri – the director of former PM Saad Hariri bureau, and MP Samir al-Jisr were representing the Future movement.
