BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:40 P.M.) – Former U.S. congressman and presidential candidate, Ron Paul, .

“The real hypocrisy comes in our justification: We’re there to fight for our constitution, our liberties, and get rid of al-Qaeda* (and Daesh*), because al-Qaeda is the threat. But there’s no evidence that we ever did anything – al-Qaeda is losing but it was in spite of us,” Paul stated.

The former congressman said that it was the Russians and Assad who have nearly defeated Al-Qaeda, not the U.S.

“There’s no evidence we ever did much – it was the Russians and Assad who bought it to the point where we’re just about ready to get rid of al-Qaeda,” he .

When asked about the U.S.’ presence in Syria, Paul stated that the Trump administration has no authority to be in Syria.

“First off, our government has no authority to be there. Another thing is it [Syria] is 6,000 miles away from home, there’s no threat to our security, our constitution, or our liberties. And we weren’t invited to be in there,” he continued.

“But on the other hand, it’s close to Russia, Russia has a base there, they were invited in, and Russia is fighting al-Qaeda. And yet, that information never gets out,” he added.

Ron Paul has been an outspoken critic of the U.S.’ presence in Syria and has often called on Washington to reconsider its regime change priorities in the region.

The US is essentially fighting a War of Words so as to justify more military spending at the expense of the US taxpayer and of the hundreds of thousands of deaths in the Middle East.

The only groups who gain from this chaos are the corporations who fund and manufacture US weapons and of course the pariah state of Israel.

Ron Paul is one of the most honest US politicians.
Thus he can considered as retired, he’s pretty old.

Senator Richard “d**k” Black of Virginia has visited Assad and is against this BS too. Patrick Buchanan also opposed. d**k is a common name for Richard. This is an actual name and should not be edited

Daesh are like LICE in your head, they are small and running around Syria n Iraq sucking blood. LICE can be eradicated n killed with variety of LICE killers. End of the day Daesh will be history you have to accept it. It is true that Daesh was very strong militarily and financially from 2013-2014 on wards. No one was there to stop them in Iraq or Syria in the initial days until Amrikan coalition came to Iraq started to bomb them in Iraq. Later on Russia started its operations within Syria first against AQ and other Militant Groups and… Read more »
