DAMASCUS, SYRIA (4: 05 P.M.) – The fierce battles fought earlier between the Syrian forces and Islamic State have ruined the eastern towns of Deir Ezzor into rubble.

This is something not  to be surprising given the strong resistance showed by the terror group before giving up its last major heartland in eastern Syria, as well as the determination of the Syrian Army to reclaim every inch of the oil-rich province.

Heavy rocket and artillery shelling, intense aerial bombardment conducted by the Syrian as well as the Russian warplanes have leveled most of the towns’ buildings to the ground. Those same building which were manned by jihadi militants.

Having driven the terror group out of several towns and villages located east of the Euphrates, the Syrian and Russian sappers began mopping up the area in bid to demine explosives and IEDs left by the militants.

According to a military source, it is a matter of time before the whole area is declared completely safe and habitable again for civilians.

It looks just like what Israel have done to Palestine.
