BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 A.M.) – The pro-Kurdish Rojava News media outlet has released footage showing a unit within the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) undergoing special forces training.

The unit in question belongs to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) linked Jaysh al-Thuwar militant group which currently serves within the ranks of SDF. Furthermore, the recorded event took place in the Afrin region of Aleppo Governorate.

The footage shows the platoon-sized unit undergoing tactical maneuver and weapons training. To this end, the unit can be seen using a range of smalls arms – including medium machine guns and rocket launchers – on static targets as well as also carrying out mock storming exercises and symbolic flag-raising stunts.
