BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:00 A.M.) – A compilation video showing three minutes of airstrikes being carried out by the Russian Aerospace Forces (RuAF) and the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) against ISIS in Raqqa Governorate has been released on social media.
The footage shows countless pin-point airstrikes being conducted with what appears to be mostly precision ordinance by the RuAF and SyAAF. The majority of the targets can be identified as troop and vehicle gathering points, fire support positions and command posts of ISIS.
Shown in the video are the airstrikes which have helped to propel the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) elite Tiger Forces, and the pro-government tribal fighters who accompany them, across the flat desert plans of southern Raqqa Governorate to the western bank of the Euphrates River and onward further towards the Deir Ezzor Governorate.
Virtually of the footage shown was captured from the cameras of SyAAF (or possibly army) reconnaissance drones.
