BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:35 P.M.) – Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) militants arrested several fighters from Suqour Al-Jabal on Monday after they attempted to return to their homes in the Idlib Governorate.
According to opposition activists, the fighters from Suqour Al-Jabal were returning from the Euphrates Shield offensive in eastern Aleppo, when they were apprehended by Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham militants.
No reason was given for the arrest of these rebel fighters.
Operation Euphrates Shield was launched by the Turkish Army in August; it has involved several rebel factions, including the Free Syrian Army (FSA), Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, and Faylaq Al-Sham.
