The famous Dutch Al-Qaeda official, “Abu Mohammed Al-Hollandi”, was reportedly killed by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) after fierce firefights between the latter and Jabhat Al-Nusra at the town of Al-Malaah on Wednesday morning.
Abu Mohammed Al-Hollandi became famous for his English media coverage of Jabhat Al-Nusra’s numerous battles in Syria and his multiple publications he dedicated to “Islamic Jihad.”
According to Jabhat Al-Nusra social media activists, Abu Mohammed Al-Hollandi was leading his unit during a night time reconnaissance mission, when the Syrian Armed Forces opened fire on his pick-up truck, killing him and two others.
The dead militant was active on social media, using his Twitter handle “@AbuM0hammed” to correspond with other Jabhat Al-Nusra comrades, while also delivering daily reports from the battlefield.
Abu Mohammed Al-Hollandi’s last tweet was posted on August 10th, just two days before he perished.
