DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:00 P.M.) – Syrian government forces pushed deeper into the rebel-held villages of Wadi Barada in the western countryside of Damascus in a bid to end the two week-long water crisis plaguing the civilians in the region.

The Army’s elite forces retook the Al-Ankaa Housing Association in Bassima village, following a fierce battle with jihadist fighters from Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham.

A military source exclusively briefed Al-Masdar News about the recent advance, pointing out to the significance of the recently-captured area in paving the way to fully seizing the village.

Conflicting reports released earlier today argued that an agreement was concluded between government forces and jihadist groups; furthermore, rebel sources confirmed that scores of fighters have surrendered themselves while other factions refused the deal altogether.

The surrendering rebels must be interrogated for info any booby-traps, hidden weapons stashes, communication centers, tunnels etc. The Syrian Army needs to destroy the ones resisting until all resistance is broken. Only then will it be safe to repair the water facilities.

And still very little word in the Western MSM about the UN declared War Crime committed by the Western backed terrorists poisoning of the water supply to 5.5 million civilians in Damascus and its environs.
