BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:15 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) carried out a special operation behind enemy lines last night, targeting Jaysh Al-Islam’s primary supply line near the Al-Riyhan School in the East Ghouta region of rural Damascus.
Led by the Special Mission Forces, the Syrian Army managed to sneak behind enemy lines to plant several IEDs near Al-Riyhan School (now a militant base).
Not long after the Syrian Arab Army planted the IEDs, a group of Jaysh Al-Islam fighters were traveling along this road to deliver supplies to their comrades.
The Syrian Special Mission Forces then detonated the IEDs as the Jaysh Al-Islam militants were traveling along the road, killing and wounding several fighters in the process.
Following the IED attack, Jaysh Al-Islam fighters attempted to collect their dead and wounded, when the Syrian Special Mission Forces opened fire on the militants, forcing them to retreat.
