La Asociación de Abogados Musulmanes de Sudáfrica, SAMLA por sus siglas en inglés, está intentando condenar al ex-presidente israelí Shimon Peres por cometer crímenes contra la humanidad.

La SAMLA ha presentado a las autoridades una demanda judicial en la que piden el arresto de Peres por apoyar a Francia en la guerra de Argelia, bombardear Qana, Líbano, en 1996 y apoyar el apartheid que se dio en Sudáfrica durante las décadas de los 70 y 80.

El recurso presentado por la SAMLA cuenta con el apoyo de diversas organizaciones internacionales. Shimon Peres es conocido como ‘el padrino’ de los asentamientos israelíes en Cisjordania y como el gran conspirador de las agresiones contra Egipto en 1956.
