BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:45 P.M.) – Syrian President, Bashar Al-Assad, was quoted by Al-Mayadeen News on Friday, saying that an ex-Nusra member carried out the heinous suicide attack in southwest Aleppo that killed 126 civilians from Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya last week.

Jabhat Al-Nusra was an Al-Qaeda affiliate that was aligned with the Syrian Opposition before forming a group called Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham and later Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

While no group has claimed responsibility for this terrorist attack, it is widely believed from government circles that the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham were behind the suicide bombing.
