Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey has completed all necessary military preparations for a military operation in northern Syria while speaking in Ankara on Saturday at the ruling Justice and Development Party’s presentation of mayoral candidates for the southeastern Gaziantep province.

“We have showed with the Shield of Euphrates and Olive Branch operations that we won’t flinch from any military movement if needed. We have mostly completed our armed forces preparations to be used in case of need. We are waiting for the consequences of the political and diplomatic process which are still going on”, the Turkish leader said.

Erdogan also confirmed that he met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow earlier this week, with the two leaders discussing the stabilisation of Syria’s Idlib province.

Well, at least Nutty has lots of humour and is acting on necessity of protecting a very small country that all Koran-obsessed idiots, all racists and all fascists dream to nnihilate.
Erdogan only acts on other grounds : power hunger, greed and megalomania.

Now he’s saying “if needed”, hehe…
But Turkey had no need to invade any part Syria, neither they needed to lead a proxy-war through jihadists+mercenaries against Syria too…
Seems the “Sultan” is now less in a hurry and the Tsar told him that such move would backfire the hard way…

, IMHO the Sultan means to get Northern Syria by threats. Which he calls political process. If the other bations do not concede the Syrian territory he will send in his ghazi mercenaries.

I don’t agree with you : all we need is to bounce Turkish air-force. Since our aircraft carrier is in mid-life overhowl/upgrade, sending 2 Rafale-M squadrons wouldn’t imped on our Air-Force job. With the TAF bounced by a single squadron doing air-superiority, ghazis will have a had time These could operate from hard roads and as each does the job of 3 F-16 and re as dangerous as F-22, well, although I’ve never seen one loaded this way, using the 3000L tank and the two conformals, these can fly for 3,000km without ar-tanker and if you use 4 QERs each… Read more »

add 2 KC-130s for refuelling, 2 Hawkeyes for AWACS job while at ground level, we add SAMP/T (Aster30) and MICA-VL SAMs. You may send your MANTIS C-RAMs (35mm/1000RPM) While Italy can send the DRACO (76mm anti-air guided shells, 120 RPM). For artillery support up to 50km, we already have our 6 Caesars in Rojava, huhu metric accuracy with standard 155mm shells = cheap to use and 6RPM => Same effect a havin a F-16 squadron coming every 3 minutes… Now let’s make Erdolf really mad : Just have Bibi deploying Iron Dome and Iton Beam. Since Turkey+Qatar fund Hamas, Bibi… Read more »
