BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:10 P.M.) – Turkey will ‘solve this Syria issue’ as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s first order of business after Sunday’s local elections, he said during a rally in Istanbul on Saturday.

“Terror organizations will never show up, neither in the mountains nor in the cities of this country,” he said, in front of a crowd of supporters of his AK Party.

“The first thing we will do after the elections will be to solve this Syria issue, not at the table but on the ground. We won’t stop.”

So far, Turkey’s military operations in Syria have focused on Kurdish groups in the north of the country.

However, it appears the Turkish President is hoping the elections go in his favor so he can continue with his plan to invade the northern part of Syria, which is currently under the control of the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Erdogan has repeatedly vowed in the past to eliminate the ‘terrorists’ from northern Syria in the past; however, due to the presence of the U.S. Armed Forces in the Al-Hasakah and Al-Raqqa governorates, this has forced Turkey to postpone any military action that may cause friction with their NATO ally.

The president of Turkey was not happy with the defeat of the Islamic state, so it threatens the Kurds. He should stop worrying about Syria’s internal affairs and worry about rampant inflation in his country.

Erdogan plans to deal with the Kurds the same waay his rotten predesessor Enver Pasha dealt with Armenians 109 years ago.
Nothing seems to change.
