Erdogan has mobilized the Turkish military in the town of Silopi on the Iraqi border and warns the Shia-led Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) against liberating the Turkmen town of Tel Afar from ISIS.

PressTV have reported that while Erdogan was speaking to reporters at a reception marking the country’s Republic Day in Ankara on Saturday, he said that Turkey “would not look favorably” if the PMU entered the ethnic Turkmen town of Tal Afar, located close to Mosul.

He went on to vow “a different response” if the PMU entered the town, which was overran by ISIS in 2014.

The town is essential for linking ISIS’ de facto capital of Raqqah in Syria to Mosul.

For the more than two years that ISIS have occupied Tel Afar, Erdogan has never stated to liberate it.

It’s just a pretext. They know Abu Kamal and Ragga in Syria are next targets by PMU after liberating Tal Afar from Turkey – ISIS confederation 😉 .

Useless : just wait he’s in his megalomaniac presidential palace then send a few stealth cruise missiles with thermobaric warheads and make them all blow at the same time, Erdogan case closed.
Nevertheless, if some had doubts that AKP=Muslim Brotherhood… High time the US face reality…

This was the purpose of the Sèvres treaty near one century ago but European powers chickened out enforcing it, although it wouldn’t have been a problem to beat Kemal at this time except European powers had just finished WW1 at this moment so they weren’t hot to do another war, even if it had been an easy one…

No problem : just put a huge minefield south of Silopi and send PKK to liberate the city, LOL.
The way USAF helped liberating cities in Europe during WW2 can be considerate : Here’s Saint-Lô, 1944 : 95% of the city was destroyed. USAF has B-52s based in Qatar, serious carpet bombings ain’t a problem, you know…
