ANKARA, TURKEY (1:20 P.M.) – Speaking during an opening ceremony for an educational institution in Bursa on Saturday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan compared the way that Syrians and Iraqis have been driven away from homes because of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; ISIS/ISIL), to how Turkish people were once forced out from the same cities.

Erdogan added that the cities of Mosul and Aleppo belong to the Turkish people.

Video footage of this speech was broadcasted by Ruptly on Sunday morning:

This is not the first time that Erdogan has said something this controversial; just last week, the Turkish President told Iraqi Prime Minister, Haider Al-‘Abadi, he should know his place and that they are not equals.

Extend the Syrian and Iraqi borders north a bit more and it will do. The Kurds can have what’s North of that. Other than that, I agree with the map

AKP = Qatar funded Muslim Brotherhood. They even want a war between Russia and the US. It’s high time some US and EU politicians come back to reason! These fanatics want WW3 and Turkey is used as a Trojan Horse in NATO for this purpose! A few minutes ago, other air-strikes against SDF were reported and Turkey say they will invade northern Iraq too very soon. If appropriate measures aren’t taken fastly, we face a real full scale war… BTW, Erdogan has already been warned that his abroad action don’t fall under art.5 of NATO charter, in other terms, he… Read more »

Enough to know that the free-trade/free-border-crossing treaty Erdogan passed with Assad helped a lot to smuggle huge quantities of weapons, shithadists and mercenaries in Syria before SHTF in 2011…

This is getting very scary. Turkish forces are just north of Aleppo right now, and have not backed off fighting in Mosul. I am not Muslim, but if I understood a lecture by Sheikh Imran Hosein correctly, according to Islamic eschatology, the “Great War” was prophesized to begin with an attack by Turkey on Syria. Aleppo is the red line given to Turkey by Russia. This prophecy goes back a long, long time and it seems to be falling into place.

This news is half informing and islamophobic. İn that speech Erdoğan doesn’t say that musul BELONGS to Turks he says it BELONGED to Turks and taken away from them regardless of the fact that at that time the most of the population of Mosul was consisted of Turks. And let me inform you of another fact: PYD is an outside extension of PKK that is killing innocent (and mostly kurdish) people at the east of Turkey. And the so-called ally OF tURKEY, USA is supporting PYD. Thats one of the biggest reasons of Turkey’s close relationships with Russia.

I freaking agree with Conglomera! Although he forgot the evil action of KSA and Qatar. PKK was in ceasefire mood for years until Enverdogan Pasha resumed oppression against Kurdish people. Mosul belonged to Ottoman empire, it has never been part of Turkey. Well, as this puppet of Muslim Brotherhood can’t be taken to reason, I fear that there’ll be no other solution than applying something largely inspired by the Sèvres treaty, in other terms, Turkey losing half its size… Another way to do things with less loss of lives may be to give a dozen Iglas to PKK and accurate… Read more »

Look, Aleppo and all what lies north of it wouldn’t be in such turmoil if Davutoglu haven’t opened the borders to hordes of mercenaries and for weapons to flow inside Syria.
The criminal Erdogan regime is the problem and can’t be a part of the solution… Oh wait the only kind of solution he could provide is to fucking back-off he and his mercenaries and close the fucking borders… Unfortunately US is fully supporting him in his aggression against Syria so there is no reason he backs-off anytime soon.
