BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:20 P.M.) – The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran said that the Iranian revolution is gradually expanding and taking on greater depth, and stressed that “the enemy is no longer considering launching a military war against Iran because of its preparedness and growing defense capability.”

In a statement on Sunday, Major General Hassan Salami said that the Iranian military’s prowess has foiled the plans of their enemies, as they no longer seek war with the Islamic Republic.

“We are today at the height of all-out war and aggression with the enemies, but these enemies are not thinking about launching a military war against Iran,” he said. “The reason for this is due to the strength of the country’s capabilities day-by-day in proportion to the growth of threats in order to deter them from electing this strategy.”

He declared, “The enemies will not stop plotting and malicious practices,” adding, “They consider Iran the inspiring source that generates life-giving awareness and mobilizing energies.”

He pointed out that Iran’s enemies now seek to punish the Iranian people through the use of sanctions, so that they can achieve regime change in Tehran.

“It is in the same extent that the revolution has grown and reached perfection, our enemies are feeling the danger and they are making efforts to harm all matters of life for the Iranian people and turn them into a battlefield,” he said.

The IRGC commander concluded by saying: “We live today at the height of an all-out war with all standards with the enemy, and this enemy today targets the economy and the life of the Iranian citizen, as the economy is the most important corner in the hostile strategy that the enemy pursues against Iran.”
