BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:25 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army’s elite Tiger Forces are preparing for a major offensive in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate, a military source told Al-Masdar News on Friday.

A large convoy of Tiger Forces made their way from the Aleppo Governorate to the Northern Hama Plain this week to participate in this battle that is meant to recapture all of the villages and towns between the provincial capital and Khan Sheikhoun.

Towns and villages like Kafr Zita, Al-Lataminah, and Khan Sheikhoun have been under the control of the jihadist rebels since their massive offensive in Spring 2014.

Preliminary field operations have already begun, as their allies from Hezbollah, Harakat Al-Nujaba (Iraqi paramilitary), and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) advance from the Christian city of Mhardeh towards Halfaya.
