El grupo Sirio afiliado a Al-Qaeda “Jund Al-Aqsa” – apoyados por varios otros grupos de rebeldes – lanzaron una ofensiva a gran escala este Viernes por la mañana en el norte de Hama que tuvo como objetivo la estratégica ciudad de Ma’an, la cual linda con la autopista M-5 Aleppo-Damasco.

Jund Al-Aqsa comenzó su asalto atacando los puestos de control en el flanco norte de Ma’an, donde fueron confrontados por la Brigada 87ma de la 11va División de tanques del Ejercito Sirio y las Fuerza de Defensa Nacional (FDN).

Seguido a la intensa batalla que duro casi todas las horas de la mañana, Jund Al-Aqsa y sus aliados fueron forzados a retirarse después de sufrir una gran cantidad de bajas a lo largo de la autopista Aleppo-Damasco.

Según un corresponsal de Al-Masdar en la ciudad de Damasco, El Ejercito Sirio le provoco 25 bajas a Jund-Al-Aqsa este viernes, incluyendo a su comandante de campo “Abu Mousa Al-Hamwi”.

Ademas de las bajas, las Fuerzas Armadas Sirias también destruyeron dos vehículos blindados.
