El Ejército Árabe Sirio (EAS) resumió sus operaciones en la campiña del este de Alepo hoy, atacando las fuerzas del Estado Islámico (ISIS) al sur del estratégico aeropuerto militar de Kuweires.

Respaldado por fuertes bombardeos aéreos, las Fuerzas Tigre del ejército atacó la villa de al-Zebbedeh, donde confrontaron a un grupo de terroristas.

Ambas partes se enfrentaron en una fiera batalla hasta que las tropas gubernamentales rebasaron las defensas e impusieron su control sobre al-Zebbedeh.

Tras la liberación de esta localidad, el EAS buscó tomar el control de Khassaf y de la colina homónima, matando e hiriendo al menos a una docena de militantes islamistas en el proceso de su avance este viernes.

Recientemente las Fuerzas Tigre se concentraron en el territorio directamente al sur del Aeropuerto Militar de Kuweires con el objetivo de asegurar la instalación y rodear el enclave de ISIS en Deir Hafer.
