BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:15 A.M.) – Footage released on Saturday reportedly shows Egyptian military conducting airstrikes on so-called Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) targets in an unknown location.
The attack comes as a response to the deadly Sinai mosque attack, which left more than 305 people dead and more than 100 wounded.
Several aircraft were filmed taking off and aerial footage captured missiles exploding on impact.
The attack in the Sinai mosque is the largest in Egypt’s history.
According to the Egyptian Ministry of Defence, investigations into the attack found that the gunmen were bearing IS flags.
