Two days after capturing the Industrial School’s building block, the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard (Harss Al-Jamhouri) continued their success  south of the Tayba Mosque, securing the Mail Depot neighborhood after fierce clashes with Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam).

East of the rebel stronghold of Douma, the 105th Brigade attacked a large contingent from Jaysh Al-Islam at Mazra’a Ar-Rayhan (Ar-Rayhan Farms), killing 18 militants following a fury of airstrikes that rocked this rural area.

Among the dead at Mazra’a Ar-Rayhan was the Azerbaijani leader field commander of Jaysh Al-Islam “Aslaan Boukaalouf” and 4 others identified by a military source: Ahmad Saa’our, Nidal Al-Sayyid, Saleem Zeitoun, Zaher Al-Ajawi, and Iyad Al-Nahaas.

The 105th Brigade advanced to the Al-Safa’ Mosque in ‘Ayn Tarma after violent firefights with Jaysh Al-Islam militants. According to a military source, a number of foreigners were killed during these clashes, including Al-Mouloudi Al-Sabaahi (Libyan), ‘Uthman Naayif Al-Khalif (Kuwaiti), Issam Al-Tala (Lebanese), Mou’taz Sabouni (Palestinian), Khalil Tughlabi (Kuwaiti), and ‘Abdel-Hameed Badraan (Kuwaiti).
