BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:30 A.M.) – A ceasefire agreement was put in place on Thursday between the Islamist rebels of Faylaq Al-Rahman and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
According to a military source in Damascus, the ceasefire began tonight at midnight in the areas controlled by Faylaq Al-Rahman.
Among the areas controlled by Faylaq Al-Rahman in the East Ghouta region are the important suburbs of ‘Ayn Tarma, Zamalka, and ‘Arbeen.
The militants will now negotiate their departure from the East Ghouta.
Since the start of the ceasefire, no violations have been reported.
