BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:55 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) carried out a strategic operation, Sunday, in the Deir Ezzor Governorate, targeting the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists in the Huwayqah District of the provincial capital.
Led by the Al-Qassem Group of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army dug a massive tunnel under the Islamic State’s positions in Huwayqah, detonating a large amount of explosives that killed several members of this terrorist organization.
As a result of this tunnel bombing, the Syrian Arab Army managed to create a big enough crater to obstruct any VBIED (vehicle borne improvised explosive device) from hitting their positions inside the contested Huwayqah District.
The video above shows the Syrian Arab Army detonating these explosives on Sunday in the Huwayqah District of Deir Ezzor City.
