BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:52 A.M.) – Greek delegates of the self-declared Donetsk People’s Republic established a diplomatic mission in the Exarchia district of Athens on Tuesday.
The event took place at 8pm Moscow time at the office on Themistokleous 52, 3 St, Athens.
Greek authorities announced that it does not hold office at an official capacity.
Athens does not recognize the independence of the Donetsk People’s Republic in eastern Ukraine.
“Any actions that undermine the territorial integrity of Ukraine, are in sharp contrast with the established position of the Greek government”, – said the official representative the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Greece Stratos Efthymiou.
The Exarcheia district of Athens is a stronghold for radical left-wing activism in the city.
