BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:58 A.M.) – Finding a diplomatic solution to the Kurdish-held town of Manbij in Syria’s north is necessary, Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Isik said on Thursday.

He did however emphasize that a military option would be considered if diplomacy fails.

Speaking to broadcaster A Haber in an interview, Isik also said Turkey was considering options on preventing the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) from gaining a foothold in Iraq’s Sinjar.

The PKK are considered a terrorist organization by Turkey. Meanwhile, the People’s Protection Units (YPG) are the Syrian extension of the PKK, and in control of Manbij.

  1. The Syrian Democratic Forces liberated Manbij from IS.
The Turks want to conquer it. Manbij is in Syria.
Nobody invited the Turks to Syria.

p.s. The PKK fights in Anatolia against Turkish colonialism, expansionism and their genocide of the Kurdish.

The YPG is not the Syrian extension of PKK. The PKK does not own the YPG in any way. The PKK merely helped to found YPG.

Turkey pretends to own Northern Syria, the PKK and the YPG.

  2. More genocidal Turkish nonsense. “diplomatic solution to the Kurdish-held town of Manbij” – Manbij isn’t “Kurdish held”, it’s under the control of its own people. The Turkish vermin just want to kill everyone. Go home Turkey, and take your terrorist scum with you.
