BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:10 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has officially closed the Abu Dhuhour crossing in the Idlib Governorate, a military source told Al-Masdar News this afternoon.
According to the military source, the Syrian Arab Army made the decision to close the crossing after a large number of civilians left the area.
Two weeks ago, the Syrian Arab Army called on all civilians living under the jihadist rebels to exit the areas through the Abu Dhuhour crossing.
Since then, at least 9,000 people have left the jihadist areas for the Syrian Arab Armys lines.
The move also comes as the Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces branch moves closer to the front-lines in southeast Idlib.
