BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 P.M.) – The strategic town of Al-Taybah has reportedly reconciled with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) after several days of fighting.
According to local field journalists, the residents and rebels of Al-Taybah requested to reconcile with the government, despite the Syrian opposition’s failed talks with the Russian Reconciliation Center.
Al-Masdar has reached out to the Syrian Arab Army to confirm this report; however, no response has been given as of yet.
If Al-Taybah has in fact reconciled with the Syrian Arab Army, then the latter will be less than 2.5km away from the Jordanian border.
Al-Taybah is located directly east of the small town of Umm Al-Mayathin and just north of the Nassib Crossing in southern Daraa.
