BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:10 P.M.) – For the first time since they launched their missile strikes on Damascus, the Israeli Air Force has been spotted along the Syrian border with the occupied Golan Heights.
According to a source in Damascus, the Syrian military has been placed on high alert after Israeli warplanes were spotted near the occupied Golan Heights and Jabal Sheikh (var. Mount Hermon) region of Lebanon.
The Israeli warplanes had entered Lebanese airspace late this morning and made their way to the Jabal Sheikh region shortly after.
Last night, the Israeli Air Force launches several missiles in the vicinity of the Damascus International Airport, prompting the Syrian military to activate their air defenses in order to intercept the attack.
While some missiles were intercepted by the Syrian air defenses, the Israeli Air Force still managed to hit the government warehouses near the Damascus International Airport.
No casualties have been reported.
